i think i'm meant to be quite aloof here and write in the third person, but i'll be honest...

it's me

 

i'm not entirely sure why you may be here, but i'm hoping its something to do with comedy. 

one of the reasons i decided to have more of a 'web presence' was that if you search for DAN GREEN you either get an American manga voice over actor, an orange tv chef, a weightlifter or a chap who can renovate your sash windows. I cant do any of these things (although i am competent in the kitchen)

i am a 'comedian'

 

i have been performing for about 3 years (give or take - who's counting?) i've played lots of lovely indepndent gigs and long running established gigs including including Pun Run (for Bec Hill), Dead Parrot Society (for Viv Groskop), Mini-Croydon Comedy Festival (for Hatty Ashdown),Upstairs at Three&Ten (for Angela Barnes) Tom Allen's podcast (for Tom Allen!), Comedy Knights, Crack Comedy & Big Kiss and Downstairs at the Kingshead.

i also MC for Comedy Knights, Gagsters Paradise, Gits&Shiggles, EastMeetsJest and co-run and MC the Comedy Hoopla in a cellar and a coffee shop in a train station.

 

despite never quite understanding the Dewey Decimal system i won Best Library assistant at Primary School. despite never quite understanding comedy competitions i have been a semi-finalist in Amused Moose Laugh Off and So You Think You're Funny, and will be a finalist in Comedy Knights Fresh Act 2014.
 

i also fancy myself as a writer having written 3 short plays as part of a festival of short plays performed at Southwark Playhouse and Arcola theatre. i have also written lengthy website text and some pretty moving shopping lists in my time.
